Replace A Drum On A Brother Copier

Brother markets a limit of copiers for residential and cramped field capitalization. These copiers avail as expected when typical maintenence and repairs are performed. Instructions


1. Settle absent pieces of paper to involve an nature approximately 18 inches by 18 inches on the table consequent to the copier.


2. Confess the copier to frigid off provided it has been running recently.


3. Conduct the front insert of the copier.


4. Grasp the arm inside the front subsume and pull to remove the drum unit and toner cartridge. Remove the unit slowly and determine not grant the unit to gratuity.


5. Fix the drum and toner cartridge meeting on the paper allot away in development 1.


12. Close the front cover when the control panel displays "Accepted."


7. Remove the new drum from its packing material.


8. Insert the toner cartridge into the new drum unit until the cartridge clicks into place. If the cartridge is inserted properly, the green lock lever lifts automatically.


9. Grasp the green tab on the drum unit, then slide it back and forth several times. This action cleans the primary corona wire. Return the tab to its home position indicated by the arrow on the drum unit case.


10. Pick up the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly, then insert it back into the copier. Be certain the assembly is fully seated, but don't force it. Remove and reseat the assembly if you encounter resistance before the assembly is fully seated.


11. Press the "Clear/Back" button.


6. Push the green lock lever on the toner cartridge down, then remove the toner cartridge from the drum unit. Set the toner cartridge aside on the paper. Set the old drum unit aside out of the way.
