Stained glass has been a common diagram Component for over 100 second childhood in America. On account of painter and interior decorator Louis Consolation Tiffany, stained glass became so universal the well-received plot all the more carried his cognomen and defined a movement.

Famous Ties
It was not Louis Comfort Tiffany who was responsible for the famous Tiffany & Co., which produces highly acclaimed jewelry. The Tiffany & Co., belonged to Louis' father, Charles Lewis Tiffany, and was opened in 1837, many years prior to Louis' stained glass company.The Stained Glass Convention of America states that some of the oldest celebrated entire pieces of coloured glass for a window were establish buried at St. Paul’s Monastery in Jarrow, Great Britain, which was founded in A.D. 686.
Significance
Tiffany's stained glass draw was hugely substantial in coining the title Art Nouveau, for the art of the time. The Stained Glass Association of America states that Tiffany's stained glass was first seen in Paris in 1894, when exhibited by Siegfried Bing. Bing's Salon de l’Art Nouveau was the origin of movement's name. According to Jim Hoyle, Louis Comfort Tiffany's name is synonymous with the Art Nouveau movement.

"Tiffany Glass: A Passion for Colour," an internationally showcased exhibition, displays 17 stained glass windows that are now part of the collection of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.According to Jim Hoyle, owner of Lantern Shades and Lamps, Louis Consolation Tiffany founded the Tiffany Glass Co. in 1885. The partnership, which no longer exists, originally trumped-up lamps, windows, doors, jewellery, metalwork, ceramics and blown glass mosaics, among other items.
