Beekeeping In Indiana

The Indiana Beekeepers' Association


The Indiana Beekeepers' Gathering (IBA) is Indiana's largest beekeeping group with over 800 members.The Indiana State Beekeepers Association (ISBA) holds a beekeeping school for beginners. The school provides instruction on topics such as hive placement, life inside the hive, honey production and maintain strong and healthy colonies. The school also provides information on beekeeping equipment and on vendors who can supply the equipment.



The IBA supports and strengths local beekeeping groups by running a bee school in February each year, by holding field clinics in February and May and by publishing a quarterly newsletter which focuses on all aspects of Indiana beekeeping. According to the newsletter, its main purpose is "To elevate Better Beekeeping throughout Indiana."
