The Industrial Accidents Division encourages workers who have disputes with their employers to resolve the issue with them. If the worker is not satisfied with the outcome, she can contact the division and a staff member will try to help resolve the dispute. Like many other states, Utah offers mediation services if the parties to the dispute cannot agree. Mediation is less formal than litigation and allows the parties to work together to come to a resolution that is satisfactory to everyone.
