What Is A Neutrality Agreement

Neutrality agreements protect a union's hold together to coordinate.

A neutrality Treaty is generally a covenant between an Director and a union. It establishes particular guidelines that an Director must go next to preserve favorable relations with the union and its representatives.

Election guidelines are added in the agreement to assure that employees are allowed to openly vote for union representation.

Benefits

A neutrality agreement ensures that an employer abides by and adheres to specific union rules.

Inclusions

Neutrality agreements append several provisions, such as a gag rule and election guidelines. A gag rule prevents an employer from speaking negatively about a union.

It prevents workers from being coerced and ensures that their right to select union representation is preserved.

Disadvantages

Sometimes unions employ self-serving tactics to bully their way into the workplace. They will often harass employers by boycotting and forming picket lines, making concessions inevitable. Accordingly, neutrality agreements may undermine workers' rights.
