Create Edit Or Delete User Groups In Solaris

Deleting a user group will reset access for users thanks to group to an individual basis.


Instructions


1. Type "# admintool" from the shell immediate to bring up the admintool nourishment. Letter that once the admintools provisions loads, it is automatically allot to the add/fabricate/delete/exchange menu. You will only need to switch to this menu if you have changed the defaults.

4. Click the "Edit" menu tab from the Groups section of the admintool window. You will be able to select from the three options: create, edit or delete groups.


5. Choose the option that applies and fill in the blanks as they appear in the window that opens. For instance, if you chose "Create," you would need to enter a new group name, too as the names of each member of the group.


6. Edit a group using the "Edit" command. From the edit menu, you may change the group's name, besides as the names of the members who have access to the group.


7. Delete a current group in Solaris using the "Delete" command.Solaris is an operating process that gives users a tremendous proportions of flexibility when working with user groups and accounts.
